Understanding by Design (UBD) will help to prepare students for the challenges they face in the 21st Century. This is an exciting and challenging time for educators as well. By ourselves UBD can seem a little overwhelming. Working together we can make this process much easier and we will be able to accomplish so much more. This will benefit everyone involved. We will become better teachers and learners. We will use technology to collaborate and bring us into the 21st Century. This blog can be used to share our ideas and experiences implementing UBD.

Thank you so much for creating this blog. I am looking forward to everyones' participation and providing an opportunity for a more timely response to your questions and concerns. This is a fantastic opportunity available to us that will promote additional conversations about Understanding by Design and any other concerns or challenges that we may be facing.

I would like to commend all of those that have faithfully attended all the meetings and continue to support our UbD initiative. For those of you that have had to miss some sessions, due to personal obligations, please do not feel as if you have an obligation to attend all meetings. We all have lives independent of our job and obligations to our families. Please do try to come to as many meetings as you can. You are all welcome and we will try to catch you up with missed sessions. I would like to extend a personal thanks to Mr. Vierick for the creation of this website and all of the components and Mr. Figueroa for his help with this endeavour. I would also be remiss if I did not extend a personal thank you to Mrs. Davis, Miss Elissa King, and Mrs. Crews for volunteering to present Stages 2 and 3 of UbD.
